Method.
We do not invent casualty numbers — read figures only in linked primary sources (they change quickly).
Satellite imagery is near-real-time (NASA GIBS, typically hours after observation), not a live camera feed.
Rescue videos are embedded from publishers’ public YouTube channels; we do not re-host copyrighted wire photos (Reuters/AP/AFP) — those open on the publisher site.
USGS initially reported earthquake-like signals; later analysis associated some shaking with glacial collapse / debris flow — see USGS event pages.
