Safety & activity rules
You cannot submit until you confirm you have read this entire section.
1. School authority first
- Obtain written permission from your school (CAS / activities / service learning office) before any public table, fundraising, or flyer distribution.
- Follow all campus rules on location, time, noise, posters, and visitors.
- If your school requires a faculty advisor or adult chaperone, you must have one on site.
2. Age, consent, and guardians
- If you are under 16, get parent/guardian consent before applying and before the event.
- Share your captain mobile with a trusted adult for the event day.
3. Safety on site
- Never block exits, corridors, or fire equipment. Keep aisles clear.
- No running, climbing, or hazardous props. No open flame, chemicals, or tools.
- If weather is unsafe (outdoor), cancel or move indoors with school approval.
- Stop the activity immediately if anyone feels unsafe, threatened, or unwell — call school security / local emergency services if needed.
- IERRTA provides education materials only. We are not emergency responders and do not replace school or public safety services.
4. Conduct and fundraising
- This is civilian disaster-preparedness education — not political campaigning, not religious proselytizing.
- Donations are voluntary. Never pressure, shame, or mislead peers. No minimum donation.
- Do not invent impact numbers, partnerships, or casualty figures. Use only official IERRTA pages.
- Cash: two people count together; never leave money unattended; follow school cash-handling rules. Prefer directing donors to https://ierrta.org/donate.html (Stripe).
- Photos: ask permission before photographing faces; follow school media policy.
5. After the activity
- Clean the space; remove posters if required.
- Email a short report to chenqi@ierrta.org (template in the kit) for certificate review.
- Recommendation letters describe real initiative only — never admission guarantees.
By continuing, you confirm you understand these rules and will follow school and IERRTA requirements.
